In this first post, I cover the relationship between AI, machine learning, and deep learning, as well as key factors fueling the current deep learning explosion. Within manufacturing, AI can be seen as the ability for machines to understand/interpret data, learn from data, and make ‘intelligent’ decisions based on insights and patterns drawn from data.
